News: Just Get A Real Job (the podcast)

As I sit on my sofa, coffee on one side, a cacophony of paperwork on the other, quietly freaking out at the fact that tomorrow we’re heading off on tour, it seems fitting that I’m the most recent guest on the Just Get A Real Job podcast.

Jamie McKinley was a lovely host, keeping the chit chat going naturally and listening with his full focus to me ramble on while we were recording over Zoom (not always an easy task). It’s a really cool idea for a podcast - not just a chance to plug whatever you’re working on (THIS though, thanks for asking) but a bit of a deep dive into the guest’s route into the creative industries encompassing both the good and the bad along the way. I particularly liked the chance to talk about my old day jobs. Sometimes I forget how many weird little jobs I did, because I haven’t had to return to most of them for a good few years now, and it’s nice to laugh rather than feel a bit glum about them!

Anyway, please do have a listen if you can find the time. Jamie has a splendid Scottish accent to counteract my voice, which I assume you’re bored of hearing by now.
